click on the same compactor 4 or 5 times and you will see

This UI problem has been a headache for a long time. It stems from the dynamic discovery of materials system, but for some reason the storages don't retain the correct order, even individually they can change between reloads.

The order of the materials should be consistent with the material list UI on the top right.
