Can't start the game

I have been uploaded log, dxdiag and saves. Folder with game crashes was empty.

Changed Status to Known Issue

Thanks for the details, we're looking into it.

I have the same issue, deleted preferences with no change, clean install. When I deleted the complete klei folder from user documents and restarted it started up the game, there was a patch/update notes window that popped up that was blank and also the dancing guy from the bottom left announcing the games release is gone. Epic edition myself. Might be related to an expiry date on the release announcement message and the game isn't handling that properly?

Update, that message disappears once I restart the app and a new preferences files is created. However if I re-delete the folder then it causes that message to appear again. Started a world and it is starting and exiting like normal now.
