black hole ate my game

Welcome to ONI forum. Whenever the game displays a black hole screen it usually generates a log file. It helps developer looking into a cause of your problem. You can find it by following the instruction below:

In order to find your game's output_log.txt file: Right click on Oxygen Not Included on your game library > Properties > Local Files Click on Browse Local Files The file will be located in SteamApps\common\OxygenNotIncluded\OxygenNotIncluded_Data\output_log.txt

 

 

One thing Do you have checked the save files? If the most recent file was corrupted in any way, the game may crash on startup. Just move the saves to a different location (if you haven´t done so yet), and try again. 

Hi, thanks for the replies. 

I checked my files after opening the game and it doesn't seem to be creating the output log actually. And since i erased and uninstalled the game multiple times, there should not have any save files on the system. also disabled steam cloud to make sure it isn't connecting.
