Bionics have trouble consuming multiple batteries at the communal table

One of the planetoids on my current save is fully inhabited by boops- since installing communal tables (but not a banquet hall, seems I'll need to bring an ornament via rocket) I notoriously see the bionics eating only one battery, then they run off and drop the rest on the floor.

(There was supposed to be a video here, but OBS only records the background in ONI. Boops are just invisible on the recording. Would vampire dupes be called Vups?)

They're often running around with half-or-less power bank slots filled. (In the screenshot below, only two new Power Banks were consumed during their break)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Load the provided save

2. Wait for one of the Bionic Duplicant schedules to reach "Downtime" 

3. Observe the Communal Table and Bionics sitting at it:

  • They will pick up multiple Power Banks before sitting down
  • They will consume one, they start chatting if there's another Boop sitting with them or just sit around
  • They will get up, and drop the rest of the Power Banks
  • If they have time, they'll pick up several Power Banks again, and repeat the process

4. Notice Bionic Duplicants have only a few batteries equipped, even if their upgrades allow them to have more

I've noticed the same behavior, and they even have a status message in their status screen saying they're "looking for power banks" but end up spending the entirety of their allocated downtime sitting at the communal table chatting instead of filling all available power bank slots and maybe getting some recreational activities in. Did a bit of testing, and they don't have this issue when using regular mess tables in a great hall or mess hall.

They sometimes don't even eat a single battery. I saw a dupe complete the eating animation, yet the battery wasn't added to his inventory. He ended up incapacitated.

You can't even just assign mess tables to them: they prefer going to a public communal table if they can path to It. Having to lock bionics out of the banquet all is not nice, but this bug makes them very unefficient and unreliable especially at higher difficulty settings. Since they waste their entire downtime doing nothing, they don't use morale buildings and they don't refill oxygen unless suffocating. I already reported this.

It's also pretty annoying that they don't take the maximum number of power banks even when using a mess table. They have to get up and pick a single one every time, doing the same lenghty animation multiple times and wasting a lot of time.
