You mean 'abyssalite.'  And its because of a change in the conductivity that was in the patch notes. This does not affect only abyssalite, this affects all insulators including insulated pipes and walls.  Its not a bug, but it is the consequences of changing the laws of thermodynamics within ONI.

I'm choosing to believe it's a bug. Unanticipated change and all that. And the devs didn't test it at all before deploying the patch.
