Drawing an Octo Chest on a mini sign will result in a blank mini sign.

isn't this chest spawn in the ocean only while trading.. am i missing something here?

Octo Chests will stick around as long as they've got at least one item in them. With the right world gen, it would be possible to draw them on a mini sign.

but in the pic of the mini sign is on land? the octo chests are on water.. it's a bit confusing... oh well

Just as an FYI - apparently drawing items added by mods results in the same 'blank sign'

I've tested several times on items , and although they do have inventory images, the signs remain blank.
