Pigs give free money

While in the hamlet, pigs seem to randomly run up to me and hand me 1 coin, thanking me for a trade that I didn't do. Nothing seems to consistently trigger it, just when I'm near pigs, sometimes one will be overcome with the desire to give me a coin for nothing.

They reward you for picking up random manure and keeping streets clean. They don't communicate this very well, because as soon as they approach you, the text thanking you for your good works is immediately overwritten by their idle chatter/proposition. If you want to see it working properly, talk to the pig first, then pickup the manure nearby.

Oh, interesting! That makes a lot more sense. And you're right, it's not communicated well at all. Perhaps that's something they'll address.
