When attacked while armor that breaks with the enemies attack, you will take both the unarmored damage and the armored damage that was absorbed by the armor.
What this means is that if you are wearing a football helmet with 2% durability remaining and are attacked by deerclops you will receive both 1.8 armored damage from the remaining health of the armor, and 66 damage from the rest of the attack that was unarmored. This is inconsistent with how low durability armor in DST works, and is quite annoying as you have to micro manage your armor to avoid this from happening.
1. Wear low durability armor
2. Get attacked by an enemy that does more damage than the armors remaining health
3. Notice how your character took an excessive amount of damage
