I tried starting a new game since the previous one i had already started with refused to start this morning. But, now im not even allowed to choose caracter. This is the third time in two days with issues.

Please disable any mods you may have running and then validate the game cache via steam. If that doesn't resolve the issue then please attach your log file (this can be found in your DST game save directory.)
