Tallbirds have a quirk of having the eggs hatch when spring arrives. While normally the smallbird would die quickly by starving to death, it will only process doing so when it is loaded. This results in an issue where the tallbird is effectively immortal until it is loaded, which comes with the issue that they will grow into teenbirds because of the sheer amount of time that has passed. Because another smallbird spawns from the den next year, this can result in exponential growth to the point of severe lag if you have a lot of tallbirds in an are you have not loaded for hundreds of days

-Have a few tallbird dens around the map
-Skip time a few times. Notice how while smallbirds do spawn, nothing prevents their deaths and therefore will grow exponentially until the area is loaded.
