Tallbirds can spawn/create smallbirds in spring that don't die until they are loaded, creating exponential growth after enough time

Tallbirds have a quirk of having the eggs hatch when spring arrives. While normally the smallbird would die quickly by starving to death, it will only process doing so when it is loaded. This results in an issue where the tallbird is effectively immortal until it is loaded, which comes with the issue that they will grow into teenbirds because of the sheer amount of time that has passed. Because another smallbird spawns from the den next year, this can result in exponential growth to the point of severe lag if you have a lot of tallbirds in an are you have not loaded for hundreds of days

Steps to Reproduce

-Have a few tallbird dens around the map

-Skip time a few times. Notice how while smallbirds do spawn, nothing prevents their deaths and therefore will grow exponentially until the area is loaded.

User Feedback

I reported a while back that small birds are unintentionally targeted by their parents due to an oversight, here. Used to work fine in DS, got messed up when changing the code in DST or at some point in development.

While it'd be nice if that got fixed, what you report here has always been a concern, yeah. There definitely needs to be more checks in place to limit the amount of Tallbirds and/or nests that can be present at a time in a location. Like, have them check in more massive radiuses, since I think right now they just check if there isn't a nest too close when spawning one, to avoid them clipping into each other. Could just prevent the spring eggs from hatching if there's too in a certain radius.
