Stagehand Light Follow Distance Not Working as Intended

Friendly Grass
  • Fixed

Stagehands follow torches and other fires from a certain distance during the night. This distance used to be just outside of the light radius. Now, it follows from much further away. The following images were taken during a winter night although the season does not matter, without mods enabled, and moggles allowing one to see the stagehands location although moggles make no difference because they are not a fire.

I am only surely noticing this now, but one can presume this bug has existed since the light optimizations from the Eye of the Storm.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to a stagehand.

Get a torch.

During the nighttime, and while it is dark out, equip the torch and run away from the stagehand.

Use moggles to see the stagehand's location as it only starts following you and keeps following you from a much further distance than intended.
