Spawn in cave, No ruins enemies or thulecite?

My friend started a world and she spawned in cave for some reason? even though there was a perfectly fine portal above ground.

Next, i went to ruins to try to get the starcaller, then moon caller , to play the new content - I need the opal to play the new content!!!

but THERE'S NOTHING IN RUINS. Only thulecite walls!

Lastly someone I was playing with said they saw a streamer spawn in caves as well, so this maybe not be an isolated case. Thanks

Steps to Reproduce

Start a private world after update? Not sure why this happened.

Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

This was fixed in hotfix 436308, please make sure your friend is up to date. Unfortunately, the new world they made is broken and should be deleted if they do not wish to play in it.
