Public Klei server 'Hound Huggles' crashes when spawning in

Such a weird bug. Seems like Klei servers have the opposite problem now. (kind of)

Another thing to note is that the day counter continues to progress despite no players present. I wonder... could it be that a player's doing has led to this issue?

There seems to be another problem with Klei servers at the moment, but I have not been able to report this bug yet.

A player connects to the server (doesn't pick a character and doesn't spawn in), and they lag the server to 1 fps a minute (I'm not joking). If rejoining doesn't work or takes too long, the server will crash after around 10 minutes. Happened yesterday once and today twice on servers I was playing on. So, pick your poison, I guess.

Do you think there's someone still playing? I thought the day counter might have progressed because players keep trying to join it, even after they crash. I know at least five people (excluding myself) who have tried to spawn in multiple times now.

This happened to me as well, and in the chat logs I found millions of empty lines sent by the lag maker, even though I have only stayed around for a minute. It looks like the chat message sending limit is only applied on clients, and that person has found a way to unlock it, most likely by tampering with the engine.

I have checked the 'Recently played with' from the servers that got crashed by the lag exploit and I saw one name pop up twice. I think you'll have their username/ID as well if you checked the logs. 

I want to report this bug separately. Did you save the log file?

Yes, I was able to find it in the backups folder.

Same here. Guy is back at it again i wonder what point he's trying to make this time

Maybe the point is that his account should be suspended *shrugs*

Klei should ban that person's account long time ago.

klei can't ban an account on a platform they dont run.....

Server is finally playable again, it reset yesterday. That being said, I do hope Klei will look into why it crashed.

They can't ban the account on the platform, but there is the Klei account I was talking about. See https://accounts.klei.com/
