Pause doesn't work in Don't starve together

Started a new game for a single player and paused to grab some water. When I come back, half of the day has gone by... New player here, don't know if this is supposed to happen.

Steps to Reproduce

Start a new game with one player, try pause

Go to bugs

Um, what? DST doesn't have a pause (without mods). It even says so right there on the menu:

And yes, this still applies when you're playing alone and the server is set to have a max. of 1 player.
