Only able to Inspect or examine

Are you joining a server with the health visualizing mod?

I found it sometimes borks out if the client doesn't have the mod installed manually.

No i don't have that mod, it is a bug happening to both me and my friend. He has no mods at all.

Another possibility you should consider is whether the ALT key is half-pressed OR stuck (if you're playing on K&M). That what usually happens for me when I'm only able to inspect of examine. And to make sure it's really not mod related is to play the game without mods and see if it happens.

I'll try that as soon as possible to see if this is what is causing the problem
