Old mod versions remain in cached_mods

OSX_Steam, current version as of time of posting, has been an issue for a year or so.

See $SUBJECT. Is that intentional? I'm not exactly thrilled to see high-volume, frequently-updated mods (Tropical experience) collectively gobble up hundreds of MiBs of space after a single month, and becoming a majority the game folder's contents after 3-6 months. :wilson_incredulous:

If it is intentional, what's the point? Does DST allow rolling back mod versions?

Steps to Reproduce
Subscribe to large-size mods like tropical experience, etc. Let a few mod updates roll around. Check the contents and size of cached_mods folder.

User Feedback

It is intentional. The reason for it is that the Steam Workshop doesn't support versioning. If you were playing on a server running version A of a mod, and then the mod is updated to version B, you wouldn't be able to re-join the server until the server updates and restarts. The game client uses this local cache of mods to install a previously played version on connecting.

You can click the Clean All button from the mods screen to clear out this cache of mods.
