You can see on day 1676 and 1677 the moon icon comes for the right side of the circle but on day 1678 that is the last day before fullmoon the moon is on the left side of the circle.
Not sure if the same happens when the moon is normal before the celestial champion fight.

-Watch the moon icon on the left side instead of the right side during night
