Disclaimer - this was in uncompromising mode, which enables the normally-unused "karate" attack. The reason this might be relevant is that this happened after I used the merms to chop down a small deciduous plantation, during which a poison birchnut tree spawned and attacked the merms. Merm king was active at the time.
Seen here - I use the show me mod, which would display the follower timer, if the merm was still following me - but it isn't, and yet the guy is still chopping down trees.
Steps to Reproduce
(Unverified) - befriend merm guards for a short period, and start chopping down a forest. Observe if the chopping stops when the friendship timer runs out.
