Error during initialization.

Did you perhaps change your monitor recently, or did you change any settings, preferences, or screen resolution on your monitor? The game is crashing due because your monitor does not support the current resolution that the game is using. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics card: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Then go to your documents folder (C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\)and open up your "client.ini" file using a text editor like Notepad to manually change the resolution in the document to the resolution that you prefer to play in.

For example,

fullscreen_width = 1920
fullscreen_height = 1080

AND change fullscreen = false TO:

fullscreen = true

Save and close your "client.ini" document and run Don't Starve Together, this should allow you to play in your preferred resolution.

If that does not work, delete your "client.ini" file; this should default all of your graphical settings and should allow you to change it in game properly.

 

I did not change my monitor or its settings. I have updated my drivers as you advised. My client.ini contained:

[MISC]
console_enabled = true
autocompiler_enabled = true

[GRAPHICS]
windowed_width = 800
windowed_height = 600
window_x = 188
window_y = 396

Where is no fullscreen settings.

My monitor resolution is 1920x1080, so i cleared text and wrote:

[MISC]
console_enabled = true
autocompiler_enabled = true

[GRAPHICS]
fullscreen = true
fullscreen_width = 1920
fullscreen_height = 1080

It didn't help. Then, i tried to write this:

[MISC]
console_enabled = true
autocompiler_enabled = true

[GRAPHICS]
windowed_width = 1920
windowed_height = 1080
window_x = 0
window_y = 0

It didn't help too. Then i deleted the client.ini. Game still wont start properly. It created new client.ini, that contained no graphics tab, only misc tab:

[MISC]
console_enabled = true
autocompiler_enabled = true

Perhaps, error convinced game to not read/write graphics settings? 

Did you recently upgrade to Windows 10? If so, try these troubleshooting steps:

RE-INSTALL IMPORTANT REDISTRIBUTLABLES (VcRedist and DxSetup)
Re-install DXSetup in folder:
C:\Progarm FIles\Steam\steamapps\common\Don’t Starve Together\DXRedist\DXSETUP

Re-install VCRedist in folder:
C:\Program FIles\Steam\steamapps\common\Don’t Starve Together\VCRedist

INSTALL MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ REDISTRIBUTABLE
Try installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable to see if that resolves the issue. The download for that can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=29

RUN DON'T STARVE TOGETHER IN WINDOWS 7 or WINDOWS 8 COMPATIBILITY MODE
Another troubleshooting step you can do is to try running Don't Starve Together in Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility mode. 
- Go to C:\Progarm Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\bin\
- Right-click on dontstarve_steam.exe and choose "Properties"
- Choose Compatibility Tab > check "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
- choose Windows 7 or Windows 8 and check "run this program as administrator"

Yes, i have upgraded my windows to 10 some time ago.

I have run DXsetup and VCredist.
Visual c++ occured an error №1935 "during installation of assembly 'policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.ATL,version="9.0.21022.8",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArhitecture="x86",type="win32-policy" ' 
HRESULT: 0x8007054F
I think its bcs my windows is 64x. But as i know even 64x system can support x32(x86) programms.
Then, i tried to download Visual c++ x64. The error still exist and was same.

Then, i tried to lauch DST with windows 7 compatibillity mode as administrator. Error was same.

Should that not help, your best, next step is to contact Microsoft Support directly regarding this issue. 

I have upgraded my windows to latest version. I found it was very old.
Then, i installed VC++ and tried to launch game. Problem still here.
I think, need to re-install windows. I ll do it but not now.
