Dark petals are invisible after deconstructing nightmare fuel

So i wanted to gather some dark petals and decided to deconstruct nightmare fuel with a deconstruction staff. After deconstructing the nightmare fuel nothing appeared so i assumed that Klei had removed the feature but then went back to double check and i pressed space, my character went to a seemingly empty spot and picked up a dark petal that showed up in my inventory

Steps to Reproduce

1. drop nightmare fuel on the ground

2. grab a deconstruction staff

3. use the deconstruction saff on the nightmare fuel on the ground
