Cannot generate new world

I literally have the same problem, tested like 5 minutes ago. The exception though is that mine doesn't get stuck - simply because it immediately crashes to the desktop. That's a little sad, because i recently redownloaded the game, have no saves and wanted to test the new character ;(Which in itself causes that i can't confirm if the already made saves work normally - i simply don't have any.)

Please attach the Master and Cave server log files.

They can be found in:
Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steam id>\Cluster_1\Master\server_log.txt
Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steam id>\Cluster_1\Caves\server_log.txt

It looks like there is a problem loading the mod Ancient Altar (workshop-481765222). I'd suggest deleting the mod from your harddrive so it will re-download it. Let me know if that helps or not.

if this does not help, then please back up your entire Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether folder before preforming the next step

Delete these files and try again
Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steam id>\Cluster_1\Master\modindex
Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steam id>\Cluster_1\Caves\modindex

If you had changed the settings on any mods, you may want to set them again before entering the world.

So I tried both the steps outlined above..

No change

I tried deleting that mod outright, and repeating second step. Nothing.

I targeted it specifically in the mod cache. Nope, try again.

I once again made sure all mods were updated and also double checked manual updates. Hopeless.

I was just about to delete all my mods, and maybe reinstall the game again too, when I tried the "clean all" button in game..

VOILA!!

It works!!! I have created vanilla and also modded worlds, and so far, I do not seem to have a problem!! (Default settings, custom settings, with/without caves)
