Recipes aren't synced across machines

I played on my desktop and learned a handful of recipes then went to play on a laptop with a friend and all my recipes were gone. Is this how it's supposed to work?

Steps to Reproduce
Learn a recipe go to a different machine and log in and recipe will not be learned unless learned there locally.
Go to bugs

Eh? Maybe you were playing on the beta branch and unknowingly played on the official release on the other laptop..?

Otherwise I feel like this could be very abused to farm more experience points and boxes by hardcore players...

Edit: Seems everyone's recipes are stored locally and don't sync across devices.

Yup unfortunately your recipe book is saved locally to your machine.

I hope my recipe book will be back. 

It is very sad to restart with an empty recipe book. Even I discover the new recipe, I still can't get the new recipe points. Because the server know what recipe I have found.
