Torch doesn't protect from Charlie at times

This is very random but me and 2 others players I've been with on the beta had these moments where we have a torch out, and it doesn't count as being within light. I've only managed to record this yesterday and even if I only flickered the torch, that should have reset Charlie's attack. But stay assured even with the torch equipped, she would have attacked too, this happened a few times. Only the torch seems affected.

 
Steps to Reproduce

Equip a torch during night, eventually, Charlie will attack still. I don't know what makes it especially more reliable to occur but it's still frequent enough. Ouch.

This also happened to me and my sister today while playing. While I managed to avoid some of the attacks by unequipping and equipping the torch, it didn't work when she tried. Pretty weird bug.

 

Oh, and another strange thing that was happening with torches was that whenever I was mounted in a beefalo with a torch and I attacked, it would play my attack animation instead of the beefalo. The damage was, as far as I could tell, still the beefalo damage, since the enemies weren't set on fire or anything.
