While BERNIE! fighting on some neutral mobs like killer bees or beefalo, the combustion doesn't affect on them. The combustion only works when the mobs are hostile towards you, not BERNIE!.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Summon BERNIE!
2. Fight against neutral mobs like killer bees or beefalo with BERNIE!
3. The combustion doesn't work when they're aggroed on BERNIE!, not Willow.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
