This is especially common when using a ocuvigil on a boat. It seems at times map icons will not update fast enough, and will leave these 'residue' map icons in the fog of war.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Place a boat with two malbatross masts and an ocuvigil
2. Go full speed
3. Notice 'residue' map icons left behind
