Shark tooth crown not raising sanity

Any chance that you were soaking wet? It is rather easy to get wet during eruptions if you are on the ocean. Being wet reduces sanity. Having wet items equipped also reduce sanity (separately and in addition to drain caused by the wetness itself).

Was the crown crafted before the update? I made one just before the update went live and it has no effect when I go sailing. However, I haven't tried crafting another one yet, so the problem may be less simple than that.
