clickrush
When I'am building Scanners and the Telescope on the surface I'am checking forum references. It is unclear how they exactly work w/o either intensive testing in debug/sandbox mode. It would be great if these buildings had range indication like the Robo Miner and the Auto Sweeper. Sasza22
Iirc the space scanner needs a clear cone above itself unobstructed by any tiles as well as no machines (doors don`t count) nearby. The telescope needs 5 tiles to the left and 2 to the right above itself clear. Glass blocks it but mesh tiles for some reason don`t (at least for now). I agree it should be more clear what blocks those. It can't be that a player has to search this forum/reddit or has to go into debug mode for finding out how exactly these things work on a fundamental level. There are no visual cues nor an explanation by text. Also it is cumbersome to count tiles. By this way this would be another super great thing to have that would make the game more fun: A measuring layer where you can draw lines that display their length.
