SixbySix
Can anyone enlighten me on the relationship between the floor and the machines on the floor/wall and cooling/heating? I thought that added heat transfer between the two, yet it doesn't seem to work? It appears I still need a layer of liquid/gas on the tile to facility heat transfer. See screenshot: I am cooling the metal tiles with cold petroleum, yet none of the machines/devices are cooling at all. (yes I should have a layer of insulation below the bunker tiles :P) -Six by Six Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97468-cooling-floorwall-to-machinedevice-confusion/ Share on other sites
Fischer_L
As far as i gathered - machines doesnt transfer heat with tiles they sits/attached to. They transfer heat to tiles in which they built... That tiles can be occupied by gas, liquid, or hard tiles (if entombed by regolith for example). So you can add tile under robo-miner, change shift plates to drywalls, drop small amount of liquid (even gramms would work). Then miners would exchange heat with that liquid, and liquid with metal tiles cooled by radiator loop. P.S. Meteor scanner doesn't have overheat temperature, so it doesn't need cooling.
