i've been trying to make a character mod and it's...mostly working except for the fact that the character is invisible and is using wilson's speech file instead of their custom one i made which is a...pretty big issue.

i've checked the files to see if there was anything i forgot to rename but didn't find anything. the thing with the speech is especially confusing because other parts of the prefab and modmain.lua are working perfectly, they've got the starting items and stats and stuff that they're supposed to have and are using the voice files that i set them to, and the name/quote/perks listed on the character select are what they should be.

can anybody try to point me in the right direction? i'm really lost here. thanks in advance

(the tiny glowing spot with the shadow is all that can be seen of the character right now)

right, i dug around a lot more and i've managed to fix the speech thing! turns out i'd forgotten to capitalize the characters name in the line where it said  what speech file to use.

still having the problem with being invisible though which is. considerably worse than the speech issue was

Is your character visible with you make a world without caves in it? Meaning, is there a difference between starting a world with and without caves enabled?

It's usually a good idea to check and post your latest server log file, when experiencing problems. When using caves, note that there is a separate server log file for the cave-shard (caves are a "separate server instance"). Those logs tell us of improperly formatted textures, scripting errors and warnings etc. Incredibly helpful when debugging these things.

Supplying a full zip-file of the mod is also helpful. since we can then quickly scan over the important parts, to make sure it's not a simple oversight.
