THermal characteristics

Recommended Posts

um i dont know when it happened but sediment and obsidian shouldn't have the same characteristics. obsidian is one of those great for storing and transferring heat materials in real life stays warm long after the heat sources is gone and stays warm to the touch you can toss a large stone in a fire till its hot take that stone and cook with it . where as dirt sand and sediment are good at releasing the stored heat and dont retain much for example the earth we stand on its as hot as the temprature during the day but quickly displaces all the heat and turns cold at night. they used to have diffrent characteristics now there is no reason for having them other then for looks(and since the blocks only show the difference in the tool tips only for the looks of the bioms). i know  some players dont use the different materials for solving heating and cooling issues but some of us do and now the good thermal batteries are unplugged.

put it this way i used to leave all the obsidian chunks on metal volcanoes to help prevent the metal from solidifying at the volcano
