will_morse
I've noticed that the wild Pacu disappear after a while, leaving behind just egg shells in their ponds. I believe this is because the pond temperatures for wild Pacu tend to be 25-35°C, and all Pacu have a 1/50 chance of laying gulp fish eggs. The gulp fish spawns in too high of a temperature to live (currently max of 25°C), then dies before laying a new egg, permanently removing the Pacu from the game before it can be reached. I recommend fixing by leaving gulp fish egg chance at 0% unless the Pacu's body temperature is dropped below 5°C. Alternatively, change gulp fish to tolerate up to 35°C environments. That should alleviate the problem. Recommend also doing something similar for tropical Pacu, where they have a 0% chance of spawning without temperature exceeding 30°C. Ponds <20°C are much rarer than those above 25°C, but it might prevent some other wild Pacu deaths. he77789
+1 Yeah pacu is hard to come by unless a weeze leaked beside a pond with pacu(not the other way around because the pwater will freeze) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93407-wild-pacu-going-extinct-because-of-150-chance-of-spawning-gulp-fish-majority-of-water-25%C2%B0c/#findComment-1063194 Share on other sites
