clickrush
How it should work A bio sensor would be placed inside a room. It could be set to a specific species (duplicant or critter/morb). You could then choose a number and an above/below flag. Example use: Place it in a bedroom, set it to 'below 1 duplicants', steer the bedroom lights with it. Example use: Place it in a ranch, set it to 'above 4 shine bugs', steer your egg storage with it. Why this would be useful The contrapictions you have to build to avoid micromanaging in ranching or to do other cool stuff in your base that interacts with duplicants/critters are cumbersome and overly complex. This feature would not only make for a much nicer ranching experience but would also allow for some creative use with duplicants. The overlap with pressure plates is only in part and this would make a nice addition in my book. crypticorb
This could also be used for a safety mechanism for certain airlock designs. One example is an airlock that pumps to vacuum, and if a duplicant is caught in the airlock (error status) have one side of the airlock system open.
