Just started -- Couple suggestions

I wanted to make two quick suggestions after having played the game for about 20 brief hours. I haven't gotten far in it, so correct me if this is already possible.

1. A remote air pump would be nice. As far as I know, the only air pump I can create needs to be placed to pull in surrounding air. I would like the option to build a smarter air circulation system, with a pump that has both an in-take and out-take option. This way, one vent can pull air in, do whatever, and output it somewhere else.

2. Right now, compactors only have settings whether to allow items in them. I'd like a second option for compactors that restrict taking items out except for containers that "want" them. This would make it handy to designate supply chains. For example, I want harvested food to go in one container, but I don't want my dupes to come by and snatch food out of the container. Instead, I could set the food in that container to restricted, so only a second container in my kitchen "wanting" the food will get it. Cooked food will be freely edible and have no restriction.

Priority systems can somewhat get you where you're trying to get to on the storage containers.  For food in particular however you can restrict access to certain stuff in consumables, if you're trying to get your dupes to only eat the cooked stuff.  For example, you can shut off eating Mushrooms, but leave Fried Mushrooms on, and your dupes will happily stare at the available food and wait for the cook.  Not sure if that really gets you where you're trying to go, though.

Regarding the air pumps there's some tricks to the system to get it to behave, such as bridge priorities, but it really depends on what you're trying to get it to do in the end instead of figuring out a middle point system.

For the remote pump, it's true that just having a 'hose' pipe for air and liquid pumps allowing you to pump a little further away would be nice, especialy given how big the basic pumps are (I know there are smaller versions but they're at the complete end of the research tree)
