In-Line gas and liquid sensors

Recommended Posts

Now maybe I missed this somewhere having only played the game fro about 200 hours but it sure would be nice to have an inline pressure sensor for gas and liquid pipes. Seems like something they have in the real world and would make things like the bathroom loop and O2 routing be a bit easier.

For example being able to tell that the pressure in the the waste pipe for my toilets is to high now I am going to open a valve and drain the excess into a fertalizer production unit. Or oh heck the pressure in the pipe leading to my natural gas generator is getting to high better turn on a second one. or off it is to low. just something you really can't do with an external sensor.

Pressure in pipes does not make much sense since you can have a 10 kg packet in one segment and empty segment  right beside it. Besides, the problem you're trying to solve can be solved using just pipe bridges - feed the buffer through a bridge and what passes by the bridge input port is excess you can route elsewhere.

However, what would be very nice to have is an in-line temperature sensor. Preferably with an "activate/deactivate/hold on empty pipe" selection too. Similar setting would be nice for temperature sensor and vacuum, too.
