Custom automated alert

I think it would be nice to have a device which allows you to create you own alert using automation. It may be used to prevent a failure of some of the systems the duplicant made. One solution is to shut down the whole system, or to find the perfect equilibrium so that it never breaks. But sometimes it is not possible.

 

Examples :

If I have a water reservoir for the pitcher pump. I could put a hydro sensor in which will be connected to the alert device. When the hydro sensor detect a low amount of water, then I will receive an alert so that I will know that I must find another source of water, or pump more water into the reservoir... Since in this case, I can't shut down the pitcher pump with automaton, the alert device can really be helpful.

I have a production of oxygen using an electrolyser which fill my exosuits, but for some reason there is no more water, or no more energy. Then there is no more oxygen. I may not receive the "insufficient oxygen production" alert if somehow there is still enough production for the rest of my base. In this case, I may realize too late that the exosuits won't be working anymore... I could put a custom alert to prevent that.

I like this idea - if it was too much work to allow custom text for alerts, you could just have it as a siren light or similar in the automation category. When it's activated by automation, you get a generic alert pop-up notification, clicking on that zooms the camera to the siren so you can take action.

In an ideal world you would have a lot more control over the types of alerts, actions and messages you could receive, but realistically just a pop-up with zoom to location would be enough for most situations.
