Found a way to destroy some of the ruins tiles.

Recommended Posts

Noticed you can get rid of the ruins blocks that it wont let you deconstruct / destroy.

I walled off the ruins area because this dam thing has such a long active period it was making my base over heat since I carved out a lot of the tiles around, and couldn't remove the ruins blocks that some were obsidian.  So I just walled around the ruins instead.

Went back awhile later and noticed with it walled off like that the heat cant get out and the gold was not hardening.

The concept though is should work on any ruins.

Bring up to the melting point and all those things turn to debris.

Even those broken lamps melted.

This door is the only thing so far that wont melt, showing temp higher than its melting point. the desk metls at over 2k same with the obsidian, so might take awhile to get that hot.

But as you can see most of this ruins is now melted away.

ok, LOL, something melted in there and turned to lava HAHA.

Desk is at 1700C, same with that door, not sure why it wont melt, must be a bug or the bio is wrong.

Hoping the desk will melt at the 2200+ will let ya know. heh.

game crashed and logging back in the door instantly turned to liquid, might have been to much going on for it to register? in the old game?  I tend to play on triple speed for 50-100 cycles without stopping the game sesh. heh.

Gonna take forever to get this desk to 2200+ the gold only comes out at 2600.

Just looked at the desk again, i thought it had said something a bit higher than 2200C.

But now its 9726.9.  dont think ill be melting it  :(

That is sorta hilarious.   People seemed to be annoyed with ruins, but deal with it.  If people can find legit methods for blasting them,  that is really cool.

I like it for the creative aspects you can utilize with debug and building custom scenarios.

Yep I understand.

If you ever melt that desk,  please post!  :p  That will keep anyone occupied for awhile.  haha..

heh, while im waiting im building this little experiment.

the temp is now raising really slow in the room, only like 20C or so per cycle.

its around 2200 in there for the tiles, the gas in the far parts of the room are about 700.

The geyser says it tops out at 2600C only while erupting. So even if I wait forever without breaking this seal, i think it wont get to the 10kC needed.

If it did get that hot, the abys would melt first anyway, according to the specs it would start oozing at 3400.

Before I break the seal of the room, kinda dont wanna till this active period is over anyway.

I made a tunnel fully out of abys. and im making obsidian shift plates to fill the whole thing all way to the near by entropy thing. heh. Put a few electros beside it as a way to get nice cold o2 while im at it so i can feed it with hydrogen.

The game since cycle 450 ish has been brutally lagged, after the guys finish an action they are like simon says stop for a few secs.

if i find any more geysers ill learn them fast, got me 4 of my 6 dups as tenured and the other 2 are working on the 3rd stage now, takes forever to learn when you have no research left really to give them lol.

I like to make my non researchers learn it for the int boost  makes them getting agi tink and str so much faster with the +6 int you get.

Actually, i wonder if I leave that place sealed up and send in 100C steam from a water geyser to heat it up to the 300 or so for turbine power.

Not sure if the vent / wires and what not could take the maxed out temp that will be 2600C
