MythN7
If i destroy the gas pipe on the generator input and rebuild it, all the gas moves up 1 square to fill the new empty pipe. So I know the flow is good on both ends for direction. But cant figure out why its now constantly saying need more resources. destroying it and rebuilding it make it work again. Maybe has something to do with the tune up? Noticed if its been started the tuneup action, it wont work till thats done. But there was no progress bar on it so I dunno if thats it. I also destroyed the one wall block to make the room no longer a power area to see if that would stop the tune up job halt, why you see the one block gone in the screenshot. Might just be a bug to, since rebuilding it make it flow again. <shrug> ya its the tuneup thats the issue, it happened again, they put a micro chip in, and dident start the upgrade process, so no bar was visible. I locked the guy in the room to force him to upgrade it. and then the machine started working again, and when it did. the contents microchip was no longer in the list. so it seems if there is a microchip in the contents it wont work till the buff is done. Kasuha
Does it happen often to you that engineers get distracted while planting the microchip? Stopping the generator while they're doing it may be intentional and the delay between start and finish might be just artifact of how you have jobs organized. But perhaps you could report it in the bugs section, just in case. Letting the generator run at standard values while the chip is not yet fully planted could be better approach to the problem. Also in this case, that generator is the only power supplier on its line. I have a shut off connecting it to the main line just so i can give it a boost if its 0 power to get it started. What I started doing was locking a dup in the room till it was done. and then locking all dups out till It needed the upgrade again, since that room has no purpose to be in aside from the upgrade and repairs. I do like your idea of it running normally while it has a chip in. I would say its turned off while they are zapping it. But if its only partial done, and not being worked on, it runs as normal. But I think a better method might be instead of making microchips in the station and applying to the gen. Maybe just have the station itself need the buff, then any power in the room gets the tune up and the amount of gens in the room determine how quickly it needs re applying.
