One piece of food rots, it all rots.

I'm assuming this is a bug, because this seems far from logical as implementation. I had 70kg of Pincha Peppernuts, a result of stacking in over numerous cycles, so they were all at differing freshness. But one of them eventually rotted for some reason, and it eliminated my entire stash of Pincha Peppernuts. They were definitely not all rotten simultaneously, because I watched a duplicant add some into the fridge less than 10 seconds before they were reported to be rotten, and the entire stack was deleted.

I doubt this is an intended part of the game as again, it'd make no logical sense. As well as sort this out, could you also make it so that duplicants prioritize food that's closer to expiring when selecting things to eat or send off to the kitchen?
