Man in the Mist
The premise is simple, you send stuff through the portal, you get other stuff back. This would likely be a structure found in the ruins. Alternatively, it could be a station the player sets up after reaching the surface of the asteroid. Some possible trades I've thought of include: Refined metal for a larger amount of that metal's ore (eg 1 ton of gold for 1.5 - 2 tons of gold amalgam) Suits for other types of clothing you can't get otherwise (eg hip waders which slightly drop the dupe's decor but makes them immune to soggy feet and gives them insulation from any liquids they walk through) Excess seeds for other seeds like the Meatato, growable meat! Extra food would always be a popular trade item, getting back things like cheese and ice cream. If you have any other trade ideas, feel free to post them. vovik
Already suggested but as multiplayer portal, find it, read it, refine your suggestion to .. perfection? Just complete it, its a nice suggestion but needs more detalization.
Man in the Mist
It's not meant as a multiplayer portal. You're trading with mystery creatures on the other side (or passing ships in the case of a surface trading post).
vovik
Yeah, just the main idea of trading stuff through portal is nice, just forget about multiplayer part, find that suggestion and perfectionalize your suggestion as you see fit("edit" button on bottom of your first post in thread to edit). Your suggestion is a bit not enough detailed.
