Modding ONI

Recommended Posts

An exploration in safely modding the game for QOL adjustments.
I'm going to start by only showing the changes made in text format that are both easy to understand and follow.
The first change is to boost starting food.

Next we are going to adjust the oil well to make it a bit safer to work with.

By changing a single line in each of these files we make oil wells capable of handling more heat.

At the very bottom of each file

change sedimentaryrock to Obsidian, or for indestructable oil wells change the element to Unobtanium

Conversely, going through the individual ruins files and changing Unobtanium to some other mineral, say, Granite, makes most of them deconstructable.

By community request, to increase the output of vending machines simply go to the displayed folder, and open vendingmachine file

And down at the bottom change the last unit to some higher number.  Viola more bars per machine.

WARNING This file will give you tooooo many nutrient bars :D(100)
doesn't work, back to drawing board hang on
I can either add more vending machines like in the breakroom or spawn the food randomly around the room.  The vending machine is a bit deeper buried, will keep digging.
