Kasuha
The idea is to introduce a new checkpoint type building that will affect what materials can be transferred over it. Implemented in a similar manner to door access rights, except here the rights would be given to all materials including liquid/gas bottles. A duplicant delivering certain material would be only allowed to pass the checkpoint if that material has the right to pass it in corresponding direction. Otherwise the duplicant would have to find a different route. The purpose is to be able to restrict transfers of certain materials to areas which are suitable for their transfer. Such as preventing duplicants to take shortcuts through clean base when carrying slime or bottles with polluted water, or preventing duplicants to transfer infected materials out of infected area. For instance when I'm digging slime biome, I don't want my duplicants to carry the slime out of the zone, instead I want them to store/process it in place. That's fine if I dig just one swamp biome and put all targets (distillers/containers) in it but as soon as I start digging second one, they tend to carry slime from one to the other for processing/storing, spilling germs all the way in previously clean areas. It can be solved by assigning access rights to different areas to distinct groups of duplicants but then there's only few duplicants that I can send to each zone. Zarquan
I certainly agree that it would be nice to have this feature. I would like to have more than one exit from the base without my dupes deciding to move bleach stone through messing up my completely pure base, messing up my farms.
