Trouble installing the ds mod tools

Basically when I try to build the project I get an error about

Error	C3688	invalid literal suffix 'DSSTR'; literal operator or literal operator template 'operator ""DSSTR' not found	

and

Error	LNK1104	cannot open file '..\win32\mod_tools\modtoollib.lib'

 

(As to why I'm trying to install them: it says they improve the autocompiler, which could be good, considering it's a blender in its current state)
