need help with coding char. mod

i want to make a character that has a custom crock pot recipe for dumplings. the dumplings are normal food but when eaten by the character (and him only) they will give him additional hunger/sanity bonuses, as well as make him transform (like mighty wolfgang, giving him stat buffs, changing his appearance and increasing his overall size). the transformation should wear off after a few minutes.

my coding ability is very limited, and although i can probably just copy paste the perks from other mods, i wasnt able to find any that meet my description. i tried to look into wolfgang's lua files, but im not sure where to look.

if anyone can point to me some other mods that have these perks(custom crock pot recipes, transformations from eating) or even better show me directly how to do them, it would be much appreciated.
