flaviuvlaicu Posted November 24, 2017 Share Posted November 24, 2017 While playing got a few ideas 1) It would be nice to make an explosion animation or some damage to the surroundings if they receive damage from a natural gas explosion, in contact with anything that has a short / spark / flame 2) The dupes that have a higher digging skill to manage to climb and jump bigger gaps 3) Add radioactive elements in the game, suits upgrade for radiation and a nuclear reactor running with different minerals.Regarding nuclear reactor, there is an option to receive clean water and output polluted water and steam and of curse energy. 4) Ad a machine that can drill with pipe in any direction and access pockets of liquid and gas and brings it back to base without the need of extending your base through the whole map 5) Special agricultural lamps to grow plants faster Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84652-suggestions/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Imagine Steam turbine generator, Reactor building heating water and requiring some radioactive material and maybe "heavy water" you would have to create etc... Maybe make it similar to how drilling for shale works, Pump in one substance to get the rest out. 31 minutes ago, flaviuvlaicu said: 5) Special agricultural lamps to grow plants faster I do not mean to be rude with this one but it would be fairly pointless at the moment, Crops already grow insanely fast, and they are incredibly unbalanced, If my mealwood grows any faster I would need 1 or 2 at most for a dupe, Once crops, food and meal requirements are added I think this + Hydroponics would be great for end game farming. That is my take on the machine. or it can just suck all the gasses or liquids out till its a vacuum. I suggested a similar radiation mechanic a while ago and I actually just had an idea. What if the overlay needed to detect radiation wasn't actually available by default? Materials that emit radioactivity could have an easily visible note in their description stating that research is required to be able to see the radiation but otherwise you'd have to be really careful if you try to handle radioactive materials without having done the required research, because you won't be able to tell which normal materials might've gotten radiation on them while your dupes transported radioactive materials around (radiation should not be in randoms spots of course, just near radioactive materials). If they change the research system in the future and perhaps make it so that certain research branches require certain materials to be delivered to a research station, they could even make unlocking the ability to detect radiation require a sample of a radioactive ore (while allowing you to already build protective suits against it beforehand). This actually seems like an interesting system in general, it would make sense for certain research branches to require the examination of a material that is related to the buildings that will be unlocked.
