Editing mods from Steam Workshop

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I just recently got into Don't Starve Together and I've been enjoying it a lot. Later on I found out about mods so I got into some of them.

I have an issue where I really like a character mod, but there is something bothering me about their model (specifically their eyes). I was wondering if there was a way that I could modify them? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can. But this isn't your work, so you shouldn't upload it on the workshop, just do it for your personal use.

In this case, you can probably modify the character model client side only, if i'm not wrong.

You should find the file into :

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods

(path depends of your computer)

Hi Lumina, thanks for the help. I did find the mod folder and I was able to modify it a little bit to my liking. Of course this is only for my personal use. Regarding the changes to the character's aesthetic. The the character's PNGs are inside the exported folder in a RAR file.

I took out the ones I wanted to change, made the changes and then put them back replacing the old ones. Yet, the changes are not taking place in-game. Am I doing something wrong or is there a step I'm missing? Thanks for the help
