Reports tab needs more love

Recommended Posts

Hello Klei,

I like the concept of your reports tab but there's plenty of room to flesh it out a bit more. It's tricky to get a feel for the rates of various things besides food, oxygen, and power, and right now we have to guesstimate such things blindly. It makes homeostasis really hard to achieve.

I'm especially wishing we had records on liquids - daily reports on how much water/polluted water/oil/oxygen/etc was consumed, produced, pumped, purified, frozen, melted, evaporated, condensed.

Tracking geyser and creature production/activity would also be very swell. Creature deaths (and births if we ever get this stuff) would also be appropriate to track.

I don't know how viable it would be to implement but some sort of temperature tracking would also probably be useful to get a feel for when your base is slowly heating up or cooling down instead of having to wait and see the cumulative effects over time. I don't personally care for this as much, but I definitely could see other people wanting it and it's worth a mention.

Another front to expand the reports on is more statistical analysis. Multiple cycle averages and graphs would be very helpful for a start.

Sublimation does show up....but that literally meaqns nothing to me, I would love to know how much of a resource I am producing i.e oil, water etc. that would be amazing.

Afaik sublimation is strictly for polluted dirt and slime producing pO2, or at least it should be. Sublimation = solid to gas phase transfer, I'm asking for liquid stuff
