High Definition character art?

I've noticed some characters on the workshop look really high definition, and I'm wondering how that's possible. I'd like to make my characters I've made look prettier. :3

I believe you want to have the highest PPI (pixels per inch) possible when you are creating your artwork. The more pixels the higher the potential quality.
