Making a critter mod?

Hi all,

Is it possible to make a mod to add a new critter + recipe for said critter? I've tried using the forums search and google "Site:" search but haven't found any useful info. If there is a way to make critter mods is there a tutorial of some kind? Apologies if this post is too vague.

This is possible but I don't think there is a tutorial. If you already know how to make basic items for DST then the next step is to take a look at how the original critters are implemented. If you don't know how to create a basic item, I would start with that.

I know there is a mod on the workshop adding new critters so that might be a good place to start as well (even though I would encourage you to master the basics of DST modding before jumping in to make more complex stuffs).
