I had assumed it was a fixed 120W. It is 240 W per second as long as it is pumping. It only pumps when the output has empty pipe under it and when that happens, it places as big as possible packet there - so if there's 10 kg of liquid to scoop, it inserts 10 kg of liquid for that 240 J into the pipe.
