I need help with Mods

Hi , I'm new in this forum and I need some questions for modding and etc. :

1. Is there a guide that's not Outdated or not too old , because there're 2 years old guides and maybe they don't work anymore

2. I need a guide on Mob summoning (Like Maxwell's shadows) , unique Traits , and some basics

I'm really bad at modding , so i need a guide for new modders and etc.

They might be old, but are still very trust-worthy.

As in, craftable mobs? You could look at other mods that do similar things and try to learn from them, like the William mod:
